Her story closely mirrors that of our founder’s great grandmother, whose wisdom quietly shaped generations. Both women faced the limits of life without formal education, yet their strength and informal knowledge became part of the foundation of Nokware.
This is why the Nokware Fund exists; to support the education of the children of the Nokware women, from sourcing to production and beyond.
By investing in education, we are allowing children to dream beyond limitation while honouring the women whose work sustains us today.

Each Nokware product begins with powerful African ingredients, ethically and fairly sourced from small farmers and women led cooperatives across Ghana.
These ingredients are deeply steeped in tradition, passed down through generations and valued for their effectiveness in treating several skin conditions long before they were ever labelled skincare.
Through fair trade partnerships, we work to ensure the people behind our ingredients are respected and fairly compensated. We believe beauty should not come at the expense of the communities it comes from. Instead, it should create opportunity, economic freedom and pride.

Sustainable packaging, nature’s way
We are pioneers of eco conscious packaging in Africa. Our iconic black soap packaging is made with 95 percent natural materials.
crafted from calabash gourds, raffia from palm trees, and jute fibres. Each element is chosen to celebrate nature, tradition and thoughtful design.
Across the rest of our range, we prioritise minimal plastic and use reusable materials like bamboo, wood and glass. Our goal is not perfection, but progress, setting a new standard for green beauty that feels deliberate, beautiful and achievable.
