Eight years ago, Nokware began with a simple moment in Paris that sparked a bigger idea. Our founder shared African black soap and shea butter (both staples in West African skincare remedies) with a friend. Seeing the transformation it brought made something clear, African ingredients that had been used for generations deserved to be shared with the world. That moment became the foundation of Nokware, built on heritage, truth and intentional skincare.

Over the years, we’ve learned, grown and evolved in so many ways. From improving our formulas based on customer feedback, to introducing new products, scents, textures, and experiences, every change we’ve made has always been with you in mind. We’ve invested in better production processes, new equipment, more efficient packaging, and more research to ensure that every Nokware product feels even better than the last.

You may have noticed some of these changes already, our new body and hand lotion formulas created for different skin needs, updated scents inspired by comfort and nostalgia, improved packaging options, and a growing range of skincare essentials made with locally sourced ingredients we truly believe in.

But beyond products, Nokware has always been about something deeper. It’s about celebrating African beauty traditions while embracing modern skincare science. It’s about slowing down, caring for yourself intentionally, and creating products that feel familiar, comforting, and effective all at once.

This blog is an extension of that journey.
